Suverénny malý silák s „dospelým“ automatom

Čerešnićkou na torte je na pomery triedy silný, trojvalcový turbobenzínový motor zladený s 8-supňovým automatom s hydrodynamickým meničom od japonskej firmy Aisin.

Ak máte ešte stále predsudky voči trojvalcom, choďte si ho vyskúšať. 96 kW (130 koní) hýbe s ľahkonohou Corsou suverénnym spôsobom, reakcie na pridanie plynu sú rýchle, spontánne a skvelý pocit dotvára výborne zladenie s prevodovkou. Automat motor nepodtáča a ak je treba, ihneď podradí.

Prepĺňaný turbobenzínový trojvalec s výkonom 96 kW (130 k) pôvodom od PSA.
Motor má dostatok síl už od 1500 ot/min, no pri výraznejšej akcelerácii sa prevodovka nebojí podradiť aj o 3-4 prevodové stupne. Záťah je plynulý už od nízkych otáčok, so silným stredným pásmom a nepoľavuje do 5500 ot/min. Nad touto hranicou pocitovo stráca dych. Pri 6000 ot/min prevodovka preradí, otáčky pri obmedzovači nepodrží ani v manuálnom režime.

S novou Corsou s týmto pohonom môžete jazdiť športovo, no zároveň veľmi kultivovane. Tu je klasická konštrukcia automatu poznať, radí rýchlo, no zároveň plynule a komfortne. Jazdu sprevádza sympatická jadrná zvuková kulisa, ktorá v športovom režime výraznejšie preniká do interiéru aj vďaka reproduktorom audiosústavy. To by som oželel, už štandardne znie silný motor dobre a pekne vrčí najme spredu, od motorovej časti.

Za svoje služby pýta potentný trojvalec adekvátny prídel paliva. Priemerne som jazdil za 6,2 l/100 km. Na diaľnici pri 130 km/h točí motor na 8. prevodovom stupni 2300 ot/min a žerie príjemných 6,5 l/100 km. Jazda na krátkych trasách po meste a v kolónach si vypýtala  8,4 l/100 km. Naopak, ekonomická rally po okreskách a prázdnom meste znamenala 5,0 l/100 km. Celkovo som mal počas testu ťažšiu nohu ako obvykle, s Corsou ma jednoducho bavilo jazdiť viac systémom „brzda-plyn“ kvôli jej jazdným vlastnostiam a charakteru. Navyše, motor bol pomerne surový, pri preberaní auta na test mal najazdených len 400 km. Prejav motora a spotreba by tak po zábehu mohli byť ešte lepšie. 


Absolútna dynamika je slušná, maximálna rýchlosť Corsy 1.2 96 kW (130 k) je 208 km/h a zrýchlenie na stovku zvláda za 8,7 s. Spolu s mrštným podvozkom a okamžitými reakciami auta by som s trochou preháňania mohol hovoriť o juniorskom hothatchi. Za volantom som sa tak po týždňovom teste jednoznačne cítil. Za podvozok a motor palec hore!  Zarytým fanúšikom „nemeckého“ Oplu sa možno tieto riadky nebudú páčiť, no z hľadiska jazdy a šoférskeho pocitu prechod na francúzske základy, avšak ladené samotným Oplom, nesmierne prospel. Ide o najšoférskejšiu Corsu všetkých čias (ak nerátame plnotučnú verziu OPC  v minulých generáciách, tá však bola rýdzim hothatchom).
